Former Asda chief Archie Norman is said to be working with US equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts for a possible takeover bid for Sainsbury, according to the Financial Mail.
KKR sought Norman’s advice in its potential bid for Safeway before the buy-out specialists pulled out of the chase.
