The Grocer's weekly check on promotional activity in the multiple sector has been significantly improved. From this week we are devoting a whole page to our PromoTrak survey which is conducted by the Logobrand consultancy. We include Somerfield and Morrisons stores to ensure our survey provides the biggest possible picture of the activity under way in the major multiples. In addition, we identify the most active own label categories in the multiples. This allows readers to benchmark activity on branded lines with what is happening with retailer brands.
