Premium ready meals brand Charlie Bigham's is undergoing a major packaging revamp to give it a more deli and farm shop feel while making it greener.
Packaging for the ready meals brand, sold in Waitrose, Booths and specialists, is being improved with new food photos and branding. It has also replaced standard plastic trays with coated cardboard trays, which are more sustainable.
Founder Charlie Bigham said he intended to phase plastic out entirely. "We hope to move to a plastic substitute made from corn starch and are also working hard with the cardboard tray supplier to make it from fully recyclable material," he said.
