Former Safeway marketing controller Sharon David has joined Britvic Soft Drinks to take up the newly-created role of marketing manager of premium brands, where she will be responsible for new strategies.
Brand controller Adrian Troy previously held responsibility for the drinks portfolio, which includes Ame, Aqua Libra, Purdeys, Red Devil and Abbey Well, but Britvic said the new role that David had filled had become necessary because of the success of these brands, as well as the growth in the soft drinks sector.
David was at Safeway for nine years in various marketing roles, and when she left she held the position of marketing controller, looking after pricing and promotional strategy.
Prior to that she worked at Woolworths and with the Hilton group.
David will report to the director of brands marketing, Richard Collins, and Troy continues as brand controller Britvic carbonates.
