From the end of the month, the retailer will be sending a team of food experts, the Try Team, into The X Factor house to give the 12 finalists cooking lessons. The team will visit the house on a weekly basis to teach the finalists to cook a variety of healthy meals, designed to ensure they eat properly during their time in the show.
The lessons will be filmed and posted on the show's website. Sainsbury's will also post The X Factor-themed recipes on its own website for viewers to try.
"We're on a mission to ensure that the finalists' culinary skills match their vocal skills," said Sainsbury's Try Team member Zoe McLean. "When you're under a lot of pressure and leading a busy lifestyle, it's easy to neglect your diet."
