Musgrave Retail Partners GB is set to roll out a new sandwich range for its Budgens franchise.

The range will hit stores on 17 July and is made up of 34 sandwiches and wraps including four products from Budgens' premium range Our Kitchen, six Weight Watchers sandwiches and wraps, and 16 'Good to Go' lines.

Since completing the sale of its Budgens estate to independents, Musgrave had spent time listening to what retailers wanted from a sandwich range before launching the products, said Steve Carter, head of fresh buying at Musgrave Retail Partners GB.

"We understand what works well in the marketplace and as a result we are going to deliver a better-quality offer with better margins for Budgens retailers, with ongoing promotional activity," he added.

Budgens retailers will also be sent a free pack including PoS material, aprons, badges, stickers, platters and an allocation of free stock to use as in-store samples.
