SodaStream has opened its first-ever store.
The fizzy drink company launched the EcoStream concept store in Brighton last month, for shoppers who want to cut waste by buying refills. As well as SodaStream products, it stocks household, health & beauty items and cooking ingredients in a tie-up with brands including Brita and Contigo.
“We’d like to think the concept will work more widely and can help revolutionise the way consumers buy everyday items,” said UK MD Fiona Hope.
SodaStream reported revenues in Western Europe up 25% year-on-year to $54m in the three months to June 30 2012, with UK sales up 131% year-on-year.
