Sondergaard began her career in marketing with Danish MD Foods, now Arla Foods amba, and was appointed marketing director in the UK in 2001, becoming a member of the group executive after the merger with Express Dairies.
In April she was promoted to the role of executive director for marketing (The Grocer, April 30, p18). Her departure follows the promotion of UK sales director Simon Stevens to the role of managing director for its new commercial division. He will take responsibility for all sales and marketing within the commercial division.
