Spar has confirmed it is planning to put vouchers for its own label products on the back of ATM receipts. The scheme, expected to be launched within the next few months, will be operated in partnership with ATM network Moneybox. The voucher denominations have yet to be finalised  but values of 25p, 50p and £1 are under consideration. Retail services executive Chris Davies said the vouchers would have two benefits: "They will offset the £1 fee consumers are charged for using the machines and will increase basket spend in store." Davies said ATMs had already proved to be "an invaluable asset to Spar retailers" as well as providing a service to local communities. More than 300 Spar stores have ATMs and more than 20 of these have dispensed in excess of £1m. {{NEWS }}
