Spar has strengthened its marketing focus by recruiting Marie Ward as brand manager and Simon Fisher as advertising and promotions manager.
Ward joins Spar from Safeway where she worked for 18 months as assistant product developer in seasonal own label confectionery. She was involved with the development, marketing, implementation and post-launch evaluation of own brand products. Before that she was a home economist at Safeway.
Fisher returns to Spar from multi-media events co-ordinator Aspect. Before that he was a marketing executive at Spar and was involved in the development of Spar's Millennium Store Programme and assisted the senior corporate marketing manager with the daily management of Spar imagery and PoS material.
