Nisa Today’s has opened a state of the art temperature controlled depot in Harlow, Essex, as it embarks on a national rollout of its six-day-a-week Premier delivery service.

The warehouse, which uses voice-picking technology to drive up picking accuracy and productivity, will take the strain off Nisa’s temperature controlled facility in Stoke, said the company, which has just scooped the Ian MacLaurin award for supply chain excellence at the IGD Food Industry Awards.

It will also support the national rollout of Nisa’s Premier delivery service, which now supplies almost 600 stores with more than 3,000 frozen and chilled product lines including fresh milk and sandwiches, six days a week.
