Scottish retailers are queuing up for the Day-Today fascia scheme launched in Scotland in April by United Wholesale (Scotland) and Nisa-Today’s.
Another 32 independent retailers have signed up to the fascia since UWS opened 30 Day-Today stores in the greater Glasgow area on April 2.
The fascia will roll out in groups of five until the end of the year. MD Athif Sarwar said: “The response has been fantastic and there is huge demand for more stores.”
Sarwar is aiming to build a 70,000 sq ft depot in the north of
Glasgow to cope with expansion and intends to open a fourth depot in the east of Scotland.
Sarwar said the fascia would roll out beyond Glasgow once store numbers in the city had reached 100.
