Londis retailers are upgrading their stores at a "phenomenal" rate according to sales director Terry Bedford. Speaking at the symbol group's Retailing 2000 roadshow at Donington Park, Bedford commented: "Last year 450 Londis retailers upgraded their stores with each investing an average of £16,000. "We expect to upgrade a further 500 stores this year  that is 10 a week." Updating stores with the latest technologies is a key theme of this year's roadshows, which end in Exeter on March 9. Londis is anticipating 45% of its growth this year will come from Scotland. The symbol group will be holding two further shows in April  one in Edinburgh and one in Glasgow  to win Scottish recruits. {{NEWS }}
