Buying group Sugro UK has relaunched its website to include impartial advice on the impulse sector for independent retailers.

The site,, had been set up because retailers "lacked faith" in market information from suppliers, said Sugro UK MD Philip Jenkins. It includes information on confectionery, soft drinks, snacks and tobacco, the top 100 lines, top tips and promotions.

"Lack of confidence creates inaction so that much of the range in many stores is still either influenced by corporate merchandising or promotional purchases," Jenkins added.
