Poor Somerfield is very upset at being ordered to appear again in front of the Competition Commission's groceries inquiry panel.

The retailer says: "Somerfield is disappointed and surprised to find that we have been summoned to a remedies hearing, suggesting the CC may be considering imposing remedies on our organisation."

It seems this sulk has paid off. "It was just an invitation," says a commission spokesman . "We won't insist on them coming. We can deal with any important issues without the need for a hearing. We just thought they might like to take the opportunity."

This fear is almost touching. So what Bogof wants to know is: what are they hiding?
