Tesco is hoping to improve the availability of products on promotion with a new scheme, Must Fill.

Under the scheme, being trialled at Extra stores, dedicated teams replenish the top-selling promotional lines twice a day.

The scheme, which a spokesman said was having "a positive effect", follows other availability initiatives. Two new PoS labels were introduced in April to flag up high-priority products to staff in the afternoons. Best Seller flags up items that shift the highest volumes while Sales to Capacity flags up lines with limited shelf space that sell fast.
