Tesco has started converting Mills Group c-stores to its One Stop fascia.
One Stop acquired the 77-store chain in December last year and was given final approval by the OFT in March.
A Tesco spokesman said 10 Mills Group stores had already been converted to the One Stop fascia and all 77 stores were expected to be trading under the One Stop name by the end of the year.
The latest store to be overhauled is in Ermine in Lincoln. One Stop CEO Tony Reed told the local press that the converted store would bring “quality, range and value” to the local community.
“We’ve made a significant investment in refurbishing the store, creating a better shopping experience,” he said. “I’m also happy to confirm that we have been able to bring down prices and delighted to be able to welcome our customers to come in and look around.”
