Tesco has launched a new area of its website, 'Talking Tesco', to provide its own view on the Competition Commission's inquiry into the grocery market.

The site includes a list of ways that consumers have benefited from supermarkets, including product choice and lower prices, and how Tesco is making a difference to local communities.

Tesco states on the website: “Because we try to do the right things for customers, in many ways we share the Competition Commission's remit - to ensure that the industry functions in a way that is good for consumers. We welcome the opportunity to share our views with the Competition Commission to help them gain a complete understanding of the marketplace.”
