Fox Publishing has gone into administration with the loss of 26 jobs after a row with Tesco, according to The Telegraph today.

The small independent publisher, which produces Healthy Living magazine, stated that the supermarket retailer had failed to distribute and promote the magazine as agreed.

Healthy Living was owned by Tesco and published by Fox until the end of last year when Tesco decided not to go ahead with the publication. Fox then acquired the magazine and it was agreed that Tesco would continue to distribute the magazine in 630 of its stores.

According to reports, Fox believed that customers were unable to find the publication in Tesco stores so it refused to make Tesco a payment for advertising. This led to a row between the two companies, concluding with Tesco delisting the magazine and the publishing company ending up in administration.
