Tesco has been given the go-ahead to construct two giant wind turbines at its distribution centre in north Dublin that will be the tallest buildings in the Republic of Ireland.

When completed, the turbines will be 91 metres tall – higher than The Elysian in Cork.

According to the Irish Independent, permission for the turbines will be granted by planning authorities imminently.

The turbines will help power the distribution centre.
