Hamish Renton, project leader for a number of Tesco health-related initiatives, looks set to join food manufacturer Uniq as commercial director.
Earlier this month The Grocer revealed that Renton was leaving Tesco and that the retailer had begun the search for a suitable replacement (The Grocer, July 2, p16).
A spokeswoman for Tesco confirmed that Renton would be joining Uniq, but was unable to say what role he would be taking up at the manufacturer. Renton worked on numerous health projects and initiatives at Tesco including its GI labelling scheme which won Best Consumer Initiative at this year’s The Grocer Gold Awards.
