At Budgens and Londis we make use of all our suppliers' data to keep on top of consumer demand. We ensure our offer covers all sub-sectors and that ranges are right for each of our store brand profiles. For instance, we will make sure all Londis stores, which tend to be smaller than Budgens, have a strong core range, while in Budgens stores we have the space to list wider ranges to include more of the newly launched products.
As part of MBL's own-label relaunch, we have just upgraded and redesigned our petfood ranges in both Londis and Budgens stores. The packs have been designed with an appealing picture of a dog or cat to attract consumers. This has been done to highlight not only the high quality of the product, but also to add a bit of fun to the consumer's shopping trip.
We work closely with our suppliers on merchandising solutions and are working with Nestlé Purina to develop opportunities to drive the category with Londis retailers through education, core ranging and advice.
