Morrisons was one of the first multiple supermarkets to sell fairly traded products. Since 1994, when Morrisons first introduced fair trade products into its stores, we have continued to extend our fair trade range. We recognise the growing importance of offering fair trade products to our customers and we will continue to do this and increase awareness.

We now stock own-label and branded products that bear the Fairtrade mark, including produce, grocery, beverages, chocolate and flowers.

Morrisons has also begun to roll out Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance freshly ground coffee nationwide following a trial in supermarket cafés that already stock Morrisons' organic Fairtrade tea. By the time Fairtrade Fortnight 2007 arrives it will be available in a third of supermarket cafés and will be available in all of Morrisons' 320 cafés by the end of the year.

We will further support Fairtrade Fortnight with special offers, which will be backed by a national advertising campaign and point-of-sale labels.
