Assured Food Standards’ Little Red Tractor logo is being rolled out into the foodservice sector next month.
The marque will appear on packs of chilled red meat and poultry from Brakes’ subsidiary Prime Meats.
The move is part of a deal between the National Farmers Union, Assured Food Standards and Brakes.
Encouraging greater use of the red tractor, particularly by introducing it into the foodservice sector, was one of the proposals made by the Policy Commission on the Future of Farming and Food chaired by Sir Don Curry.
