Sainsbury’s winemaker Barry Dick is leaving the supermarket to join supplier Australian Vintage.

Dick, who leaves the business on 13 October, was one of two in-house winemakers at Sainsbury’s.

“It is always a sad to lose someone in the team, but things change,” said Justin James, Sainsbury’s category manager for beers, wines and spirits.

“Barry has been a valued member of the team for a number of years and we wish him well in his new role. We will of course be recruiting a replacement and make an announcement in due course.”
