The new flavour, which contains 100%-natural ingredients, marks Nom's debut in confectionery-style yoghurts. It also marks a further assault on Müller's market share, as it will be seen as a rival to Müller's Crunch Corners.
More than 50% of the split pot market was confectionery-based and the confectionery yoghurt market as a whole had grown 22.5% over the past year, said Nom. Listings are confirmed, with the new flavour (rsp: 49p for 155g) hitting shelves next month.
Nom is also to start selling Naturally Creamy split pots in multipacks. The new Belgian Chocolate flavour and the existing Senga Strawberry, Alphonso Mango & Passion Fruit and Chocolate Chip Granola flavours will go into four-packs in March.
