Richard Sands, chief executive of Constellation Brands, has criticised supermarkets for selling cheap, low-quality wines.

Sands told the Financial Times that supermarkets were “overly squeezing the brand owners” and if they continued to do so, wine companies would have no option but “to take your good wines and put them elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Constellation Brands has acquired Vincor International for (CAN)$1.27bn.
