n The core occasion for the consumption of carrots is the evening meal (56%). Carrots are much more likely to be consumed at this occasion than other foods
n Nearly 15% of all carrots are consumed at the teatime occasion and this is up 9% since 2002
n Sunday is the key day in the week that carrots are consumed, accounting for nearly 30% of all carrot consumption
n 70% of carrots are consumed with carcase meat and 26% are consumed with poultry, which supports the notion that more carrots are consumed on a Sunday for the traditional Sunday roast
