Ice cream start-up Cream & Country has launched a British-themed range, including an English sparkling wine and elderflower sorbet.

The five-strong range also features: New Forest gateau with sour cherry and flakes of bitter chocolate; salted caramel; cream tea with strawberry compote & shortcake pieces; and stem ginger & rhubarb.

Formed by a former chef and the former MD of confectionery company Spun Candy, Cream & Country has teamed up with suppliers such as wine producer Jenkyns Place for the range.

It is in talks with wholesalers and boutique delis, and has launched a marketing drive at festivals and pop-ups this summer.
