Human nutrition, the environment and farm production systems are the main priorities for the UK dairy industry, a new report from Dairy UK claims.

The industry must work towards fully understanding the beneficial role of dairy in the diet and ensuring more food can be produced from fewer resources in a sustainable way, according to Dairy UK's annual report, The White Paper 2011.

The report also suggests the industry safeguard consumers' support by helping them understand what UK dairy is doing.
