Arla’s planned Aylesbury dairy has entered the next phase of development with the appointment of a principal contractor and systems engineers.

Caddick Construction has started on site as principal contractor. It will be responsible for the construction of the main dairy, energy centre, as well as ancillary buildings and associated site works.

NG Bailey will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical engineering, and will commence work on the site in June 2012.

The latest phase comes after diggers moved on to the site - which, when running at full capacity, will process one billion litres of milk - in February.
