Wyke Farms has replaced its 350g packs of Super Light cheese with a 320g format in response to higher milk prices.
The West Country Cheddar maker said it had decided to “down-weight” packs to counteract a milk price increase in October and to “release funds” to support the brand. “It will be promoted on a two for £5 mechanic,” a spokeswoman said. There will be no change to its 200g packs.
The 320g packs, which retail at £3.99 - the same as the 350g packs - went into Morrisons and The Co-op Group stores last month.
