Dairy Crest is extending its Cathedral City Chedds children’s range with two new products.
Chedds Shapes - which includes discs and trianglar-shaped cheese pieces - and rectangular Chedds Towers will hit stores next week. Sold in multipacks of five 16g and nine 12g bags (each rsp: £1.99), they will join Chedds’ existing Toasties and Nibbles. Current line Chedds Bricks is being dropped and replaced with Towers.
Chedds senior brand manager Jo Huergo said research had shown that the new products would be welcomed by shoppers and would make cheese snacking more fun for children.
The Chedds brand is worth £8m [Nielsen 52 w/e 2 Feb 2013].
