Cirio Del Monte is continuing its bid to translate the Del Monte brand's fruit and juice heritage from the canned fixture into the chiller cabinet with the launch of Juice with a Twist. Due on shelf on June 17, the three newcomers come in frosted bottles designed to highlight their fresh, natural and chilled credentials. The flavours ­ Orange with a twist of mango and passion fruit, Pineapple with passion fruit and Apple with peach and passion fruit ­ are positioned as something that consumers might buy for a change or as a weekend treat. The price point will be at a premium level. Marketing director Rod Grounds-Peace said the alternative flavours would add value to the burgeoning chilled juice category ­ which the company values at £290m ­ by increasing consumers' average weekly purchase. He also said it would boost the brand's market share. The launch follows the debut of the Del Monte World Fruits range in January this year. {{P&P }}
