Following last week's burst of excitement, the Danish bacon market has slowed once more this week, according to industry sources.
Traders described the situation as quiet but firm, helped partly by currency differences, however demand was said to have gone off the boil.
The Dutch, however, continue to do well, with a strong showing on retail and steady trade in bulk, helped by a shortage of raw material on the British side.
British traders are continuing to struggle, with prices still high. One reported "unsustainable" price premiums on legs, some 25% up on the levels of imported product.
