A tea brand has been created to support a sports charity established by 1990 Commonwealth Games 800m gold medal winner Diane Modahl.

The Diane Modahl Sports Foundation has worked with Manchester-based Premium Brand Management Group (PBMG) to launch a range of teabags under the TeaMGB brand. The 99p boxes have started rolling out to B&M stores this month, and PBMG is hoping to secure listings in other mults. One pence from the sale of a pack will go to the charity.

“This is the latest in a line of corporate partnerships we’ve established,” said Modahl. “Their support assists us in everything that we do and helps the sporting and other ambitions of some of Manchester’s most promising athletes come to fruition.”

Modahl, who successfully appealed against a positive drugs test during her athletics career, has presented for the BBC and also appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
