Poundland has confirmed the trial of several new advertising brand partnerships.
In recent months, the discount retailer has partnered with the likes of Wink Bingo, on a promotion offering customers a £15 voucher when they spend £10 in store, and several Sea Life Centres across the UK, with free child entry offered on every £6 in-store purchase. Poundland vouchers were also recently offered to readers of the Daily Express.
Richard Lancaster, trading director at Poundland, confirmed that the budget retailer is actively exploring new brand partnerships.
“This year we have trialled third-party promotions working in partnership with brands that we feel give added value to our loyal customers,” he said.
“Our partnerships have been positively received by our customers, as well as the brands we’ve worked with who have benefitted from access to our 4.75 million customers.
“We may continue to explore partnerships in the future if we feel they can give something back to our shoppers.”
Earlier this month, the budget retailer was given the green light to build a new 350,000 sq ft distribution centre in Harlow, Essex, which has the capacity to service up to 300 stores.
