Arla Foods plans to take speciality cheese into the mainstream with its Discover brand, launched this week. The new 14 line brand, boasting five feta options, is being launched in collaboration with Greek feta producer Delta Dairies. Mikael Horsboll, product manager for cheese, said Arla had brought into play the expertise of the maker of Total, with innovative combinations of olives and feta. Favourites from mozzarella to feta and emmental and more novel choices including Havarti, Vanern, and Orange Roll, a soft cheese with orange liqueur, are among the options available. Another four to six new lines will be added over the next 12 months to keep up customer interest. Prices start at 99p for the feta with green olives and garlic, or feta with black Kalamata olives. {{P&P }}
