The £150m dairy near Aylesbury planned by Arla Foods is on track to open by the end of next year after being given the go-ahead by local planners.
Lurpak owner Arla Foods has bucked the worldwide economic uncertainty to grow global profits by a third. The Danish dairy giant, which also owns the Cravendale and Anchor brands, grew global profits to DKK1.3bn ( 146m) during 2010, up from DKK971m ( 116.1m) the previous year.
Lurpak maker Arla Foods is plotting a merger with German co-operative Hansa-Milch.
