Unilever Bestfoods claims its T-Birds ads for PG Tips tea are more successful than the iconic chimps series. It said the ads, featuring four plasticine animated feathered flatmates, have boosted the brand's market share by 2.4% to 28.8% since their debut this January and that research shows the ads particularly appeal to younger consumers. The claim comes as a new batch of ads hits TV screens. The first ­ featuring Holly the bluetit in the bath ­ is on air now. Another, showing Tom the owl de-stressing' everyone with tea (pictured), is due out on May 20. Both run until the end of June and carry the slogan We all need a PG moment'. {{P&P }}
