Cardini’s, the founder of the original Caesar salad dressing, has launched two versatile new dressings to extend appeal.
Available in Waitrose and
independent stores this month, Cajun Caesar is a fiery take on the traditional Caesar, adding wholegrain mustard, Pecorino Romano cheese, red wine vinegar and spices. Chinatown Sesame blends soy sauce, pineapple juice and ginger purée.
The dressings have wider uses, said Cardini’s. Cajun Caesar can be used as a marinade for chicken or a dip for crudités and Chinatown Sesame can be used for stir-fries, to marinate beef or to drizzle over fresh fruit.
Both products come in 250ml bottles, with an rsp of £1.49.
