Conference cancelled A long running industry event has been cancelled because of the growing uncertainties caused by the attacks on the US on September 11. The annual International Sultana/Raisin Conference was due to be held later this month in Windsor. However, a number of delegates had already pulled out. And given the conference attracts representatives from key producing states ­ notably South Africa, Australia, Turkey, Iran, the Americas and Australia ­ the organisers felt it was "prudent" to cancel this year's event. The conference has been running since 1956, alternating venues between the UK and an overseas country. The organisers hope to reschedule for conference for the same time and same place next year. {{CANNED GOODS }}
