A new trade show is set to introduce retailers to wines from lesser-known wine-producing regions.

The Emerging Regions Tasting will show wines from Lebanon, Malta, the Canary Islands, Croatia, Turkey, Georgia and Slovenia, as well as new territories in established regions, including Bierzo in Spain and Leithaberg in Austria.

Exhibitors were keen to show commercially viable and cost-effective wines, said organiser Freddie Johnson. The tasting, organised by The Grocer owner William Reed Business Media and Harpers Wines & Spirits, will take place in London on 1 May.
