Both the Dutch and the Danes are finding supplies getting tighter, although Dutch traders appear to be having a harder time of it.
One said the kill rate was considerably down on the previous year’s number and that it was unlikely to come up again before the end of September. As a result, prices are much higher, having risen considerably over the previous weeks.
Meanwhile, Danish traders said trade had gone quiet this week, as expected, and many are beginning to look towards Christmas. One said supplies were likely to be tight over the festive season.
