Eblex has called on smaller multiples and independent butchers with more than one store to revamp their fresh meat displays.

The organisation, which has launched an online Meat Display Layout Planner to assist retailers, said smaller shops had the chance to create effective layouts for different times of the week or season.

“Consumer purchasing behaviour for meat and meat products is constantly evolving due to lifestyle changes and new prodcts,” said Eblex retail trade manager Chris Leeman. “It is crucial that fresh meat displays reflect demand and shopping trends.”
