Noble Foods has unveiled a Challenger II tank made from more than 5,000 egg boxes to celebrate the launch of its March Fourth campaign in support of the armed forces.

The tank was built from 5,016 Eggs for Soldiers boxes and took 512 hours to make, using up 26 litres of glue, 10,100 nails, 15 litres of paint, 80sq m of steel and 5,013 staples.

March Fourth is a fundraising event for Help the Heroes, organised through Noble’s Eggs for Soldiers egg brand, which encourages supporters to hold egg and spoon races to raise funds for the charity. There will be a launch event on Clapham Common, South London, on 4 March, when the tank will be on display to the general public.
