Organic babyfood company Ella's Kitchen has claimed a market first with the launch of a pair of rice-based fruit pouches for hungrier babies.

The new range, which is available now, comprises two rice-based mixes one with bananas & apricots and one with pears & apples (rsp: 99p).

The products are targeted at mums who want to give little ones not yet ready for dairy and protein more than just fruit. They are suitable for babies aged from four months.

"The new pouches provide the perfect solution for hungrier babies and they make the weaning process easier for mums," founder Paul Lindley said. "We know there is a real need for them as they save parents having to mix fruit with baby rice themselves quicker and easier for busy families."
