United Biscuits has upped the chocolate content of the brand (rsp: £1.86/eight-pack) and revamped its packaging with a flash stating ‘Now with even more chocolate’. The packaging also flags up the fact that the bars contains no artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Sales have soared 48% over the past year to £22.1m [Nielsen 52w/e 26 March 2011]. “Jacob’s Club is growing particularly well,” said UB brand director Matt Brown.
