Entries are now open for Chefs’ Choice, a new set of awards created by The Grocer to showcase the best work of foodservice suppliers.
The awards, supported by our sister brands Restaurant, Morning Advertiser and Food Manufacturer, will test foodservice products developed by foodservice wholesalers and manufacturers on their quality, innovation, creativity, value and taste across their frozen, fresh, chilled or ambient products.
Entrants can enter food products in 27 categories including cheese and dairy, finished desserts and gateaux, preserves, vegetarian ready meals and hot beverages.
Entries will be judged by a panel of chefs, nutritionists, food technologists and development chefs.
Winners and entrants who achieve the ‘Highly Rated’ standard can use endorsement logos on packaging and in marketing activity for free.
“Suppliers have told us they want a process by which they could secure a wholly independent assessment of their product development work, quality output and recipe innovation,” said MD of William Reed retail and manufacturing Lorraine Hendle. “These awards will meet that need.”
