The Grocer Gold Awards 2014 have opened for entries - and this year there’s four new gongs up for grabs, including three with an entrepreneurial flavour.
The Specialist Online Retailer of the Year award has been added to reflect the growth of retailers and etailers in a particular or small number of grocery-related categories. Also new is an award for the SME Brand of the Year - to recognise smaller fmcg players. And while the Entrepreneur of the Year award will not be limited to smaller players, fast growth is a watchword of this award.
They join 16 other categories, including Brand of the Year, Independent Retail Chain of the Year, Wholesaler of the Year, and the prestigious The Grocer of the Year award - currently held by Aldi - now open for entry online at www.thegrocergoldawards.co.uk.
The Oscars of the grocery retail, wholesale and fmcg industry, the winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at London’s Guildhall on 10 June.
