FS&DA product master 22-2

There are just a few days left to enter the first-ever Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards.

This new awards scheme has been developed by the organisers of the Farm Shop & Deli Show to shine a spotlight on quality UK food and drink products.

Suppliers have until Thursday 7 April to enter the awards at The Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards website.

A key aim of the scheme is to showcase quality products sold in farm shops, delis and specialist food retailers, and entries are open to products not available in national supermarket chains.

Judging will take place at the Farm Shop & Deli Show, taking place from 25 to 27 April at the NEC, Birmingham, where the winners will be revealed.

The awards will be judged by industry experts including retailers, suppliers and food developers across six categories – meat, condiments, bakery, beverages, confectionery and preserves. Judging criteria includes appearance, taste, texture, aroma and value for money.

Winning a Farm Shop & Deli Product Award will help raise the profile of a product and give the supplier exposure, including coverage in the Farm Shop & Deli News newsletter produced by The Grocer.

In addition, Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards accreditation and the use of the Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards logo will help winning products stand out from their rivals.

“Covid-19 amplified demand for locally sourced, high-quality products and in creating these awards we hope to shine a spotlight on the fantastic producers we have in the UK and their unwavering dedication to excellence,” said Andrew Reed, MD for events & exhibitions at Farm Shop & Deli Show organiser William Reed, which publishes The Grocer.

The Farm Shop & Deli Show is part of the The UK Food & Drink Shows event taking place at NEC, Birmingham, from 25 to 27 April. Uniting four shows under one roof, it covers the complete supply chain in three days of insight, innovation and inspiration, with the content of each show tailored to meet the requirements of its respective audience.
